Hi there,

How is your last weekend? I’ve been busy all week digging keywords, visiting other people website to look for ideas. Today I wolud like to share another features in digital photography that in the old days it it hardly to do. This features in my Canon camera called ‘stitch”. According to Wikipedia – “Image stitching or photo stitching is the process of combining multiple photographic images with overlapping fields of view to produce a segmented panorama or high-resolution image. Commonly performed through the use of computer software, most approaches to image stitching require nearly exact overlaps between images and identical exposures to produce seamless results”.

So, there we are. This features is so common and almost every digital camera (SLR or compact) type have this feature but 70% people who have digital camera don’t know how to use it.

In the old days, photographer juct have to use a ‘fish eye’ lens to just capture a very wide picture. But, we a lucky today as engineers ans researcher already seen this hassle and comeout with a salution. We as a user, should try and appreciate this innovation. Below is the result

Try it. Check back your camera manual. Look for this feature. And belive me, when you know how to use it, you’ll be amazed.

Hi there,

Digital camera is like all other gadget. Like Hand phone and PC. This little gadget are differ from quality and features. People tend to like more for the appearance without knowing what the ins and out of the little gadget that they own.

I always came across people who don’t know about their own handphone. Why? From my experience they just simply do not even like to open the manual provided.

This same goes with digital camera. Digital camera came with a lot, a lot of features that will help the user to take nice picture and technology are meant to make life more easier.

We, as the user, we must take effort in opening the manual, try step-by-step all the features provided in the came. Afterall, the cost of the camera is closely related to the feature that this camera have. So, after paying so much for that, we simply use the 1/10 features provided because of the laziness in opening the manual.

Trust me, by spending few minutes opening the manual and clearly understand the features, the love and appreciate feeling to the thing that we bought are even bigger. Get down and try for your self, nobody going to scold you if you make a mistake. People learn from mistake. And this will make you life easier when you are on the field.

Hi there,

One good thing about digital photography is, you can take as much picture ac you like.

Like in the old days when we use normal 3mm film, when there is no digital camera – one must carefully take photo as every shot are counted.

When i was in the photography course, one thing i always remember is to take few shot of the same object. Every shot I must record the setting. After sent the film to process, I will open back my record and compare the result. By doing this, I always improved my shot and get a better picture. The problem arise those days were, this would cost the photographer a lot of money.

Thanks for the digital world. All picture taken are easily quick view and you can choose the nicest picture to be print.

But, what happen right now is, those picture, as times goes by will accumulate and become dust in your pc.

Picture being taken everyday, being uploaded everyday and people tend to have the kind of ‘procrastination’ habit toward digital picture. This ‘postponed’ habit will soon accumulate thousand of picture in your PC.

Here are the simple tips that will help us finding a nice children photograph.

First and foremost, a large digital camera screen make life more easier. Then, one should always practice to edit the day’s picture stored in the camera.

Say like you on holiday in bangkok, 9am in the morning you and your family will go out in the city and back to hotel at 7pm in the evening. Later at night when all everyone in in the relaxed mood, open back your camera and start to see all picture taken for that day. How many was taken and how is the quality of those picture. A fast editing inside the digital camera will ensure that you only uploaded a good picture into your laptop.

I’m hardly came across normal people like me who like to spend time editing their digital picture inside their PC using special software like Photoshop or Corel Draw or other more advance graphic software.

This is why i recommend you just edit and delete picture that you don’t want inside your digital camera.

For me, I will take a lot of picture, simply took few times of a same object so that later i will delete to worst and save the best.

And, one thing for sure, to play saved, when i was in holiday i will always ask other people to take my family picture few time – minimum is 3 times so that at the end of the day i have at least one good picture.

Hi there!

I always go travel with my family. For me, I will take my camera anywhere and just hang on my belt when I’m on holiday. I’m not sure about other people. But as for me, I’ll also always bring my laptop together when i go for holiday. I just leave the laptop in my hotel room and at night, when I’m back to the room, simply i will transfer my picture from my digital camera to my laptop.

This is what i experience when i was in holiday.

Do you ever experienced that your camera data card already full? Well i think, every body do experience this event once in a while. More over, now days, digital camera has came out until more that 10megapixel!

What does that mean? Well, megapixel is the simply the ability of the camera to record picture in a very detailed quality. Your picture will look more sharper with a higher pixel and will be more larger in size and properties. This is good if you want to print the picture into larger format such as 12R or A4 size.

I’ve came across with a friend of mine who are claim to know best about gadget that he bought including digital camera. The argument is, if you have a 6megapixel, why do you set you camera for a lower megapixel? For his, if you have 6 megapixel, you as a owner should set your camera for 6 megapixel.

I’ve told myself, clearly this friend of mine never went for a long holiday far from his home.

As i learn and noticed, to have a nice picture with 4R or 5R picture sized, a 2-3megapixel already give a optimal quality of picture.

What happen is, the higher the megapixel setting is, the more memory space that it will consumed. So, if you have a 10 megapixel with 1GB of memory most probably you can only store around 200 picture only. But if you use a lower setting you will have more space and more picture you can store.

This very useful when you go for holiday. My way of holiday, when i was in Bangkok, I will wake up early in the morning, around 9am, me and my family will go out to the city and only be back to hotel at 6 or 7 pm in the evening. I can’t afford to bring my laptop together and keep uploading my picture into it. So, I will set my camera at 3megapixel and take a lot of family picture and mostly a candid children photo. A lot spontaneous pictures. To saved me the day, i will opt for lower pixel – 3megapixel and bring extra memory stick.

So, get your self a big memory stick and also just set your camera up to 3mp. Maybe in certain event, you can set up for higher pixel if you planned to print that picture with a larger format such as A4 size.

But for normal 4R or 5R, 3megapixel is the best. Don’t forget this simple tips as you won’t want miss that special and quality moment of your life.

Hi there!

How’s the day?

I hope everything is fine and my previous post shall help you in getting the right camera for your family.

For me, I have one son 3year old and a daughter 1 year old.

From my experience, My previous holiday to Sabah, Malaysia still fresh in my mind. Back then, My son Imtiyaz was around 2years old. This little boy sometimes demand for more. He simply demand for my camera. Us, as the parent sometime are very reluctant to pass the camera to this little angle. Simply because he will drop the camera. And this is true, the moment i handed the camera to him, he droped it and luckily it is still intact and behaved normally.

From that moment, I told myself that I need a robust camera!

I found that there a lot / variety of digital camera in the market. What i realised is, there is also camera body made of steel, made of plastic and also made of titanium!

Back to basic first. I need to find a robust digital camera that suit my budget. But, as i said… my 3 year old child also into Photography! He will simply ask for my camera and love to take my picture also! My camera has drop so many time. As a parent, a nice reminder for all of you. Just get a steel camera with recognized brand such as Canon, Nikon, Olympus or Sony. All this brand do have a steel and plastic body. Sometimes, you can’t even differentiate that the body of the camera is plastic or steel. You just have to ask the promoter.

Even though digital camera is cheap nowdays, but a nice steel camera will last longer. You also will realised that steel camera a little bit pricey from plastic, why – simply because of the material and the lifetime of the camera.

Save your investment by knowing what best for yourself. Not all promoter is honest in this world.

Hi,

Previously, I’ve talked about the ‘initialization period’ about digital camera. So, today i go more about choosing the right camera in order to capture nice children photography.

Have you tried to take photograph of a child using your camera phone? Do, you notice to lagging (delay) in between you click and the picture that your phone captured and saved in the memory?

Say like a very simple event – You tried to capture the very right moment of a person drinking their tea (when the cup pouring into the person mouth). From the start that person raised his hand holding the cup until his pour he cup of tea into his mouth.

What happen right now is, if you can ask the person to hold the cup when pour the tea at the mouth that OK. But if you want to can a ‘candid’ picture and that person doesn’t realize that, you need a fast ‘lagging’ time and camera processor here.

The very single moment is the GOLDEN moment I’m talking about. I’m sure all of you do came across this similar event once in a while.

At the camera shop, this is one of the thing you must remember. Various camera has various ‘lagging’ time. Try for yourself. If the subject that you want to take is a child, you can’t ask her to hold the cup until you capture the picture! You just have to capture that picture instantaneously. This is where ‘lagging’ features is important.

At the end of the day, when you view back this ‘candid’ moment that you be able to captured, I’m sure it will have a deep values in your feeling.

Hi,

Well, today before I’m going details about taking memorable children photograph, as a parent or children photography enthusiast – we must have a very good camera.

Getting the right camera is not that hard. All you have to know is, what kind of camera you need. There is a lot in the market right now. But, is SLR (single lens reflex) – thousand of dollar will be beneficial for you? Well, i don’t think so, why? well you’ll may be give up in the future taking your camera anywhere around, because of the size. But there is a positive side of SLR but I will explain it in details in another post. It is best for you to get a digital camera that you can hang on your belt and you can take it around.

What you should know first is, now the modern compact camera does can deliver the job in taking children photography. Because of ‘digital camera’ …. there is a ‘initialization period’ that you should consider. Initialization period meaning is – how long is the time taken for camera to be ready from the moment you switch on. Some camera taking a longer time than another.

The modern digital camera has a chipset (processor) like computer. The will be a start-up time.

Why this is important for taking children photography is, the subject that we would like to capture is very spontaneous. A lot of beautiful moment is only happen in a split second event. So, if you have a camera like switching ‘on’ window vista pc, (no offense to window vista fan ) Trust me, you’ll never able to take a memorable children picture.

So, please remember this features before buying the camera. You will realized this features if your try to on few camera at the camera shop. Get the fastest camera that you can afford.

In the next post, I’ll explain more features that you need for you to capture a nice children photograph.
